Murder of delivery boy in UP: While making expensive phone calls and paying for cash on delivery, Flipkart delivery boy Bharat Kumar Prajapati (age 32) was called to his home and brutally murdered in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, yesterday. The killer extorted money. Two smartphones worth Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs. 35 thousand cash was looted.

Gajan had ordered two mobile phones

Gajanan, with the help of his neighbor Himanshu Kanojia, ordered two mobile phones worth Rs 1.5 lakh online. When Bharat did not reach home till late night, the family lodged a missing complaint. After this the police investigated and revealed the incident. DCP East Shashank Singh said that the accused Akash Sharma has been arrested. The mobile phone of the deceased and the items looted from him have been confiscated. The search for Gajan continues.

This is how the murder was carried out

According to the police, the main accused Gajanan and Akash, when the delivery boy came to deliver the parcel, took the ordered phone from him and called home for payment. As soon as Bharat came inside the house, he was beaten severely. Later, Akash held his hand and sat on his chest and strangulated Gajan with the laptop charger cable. Later the body was cut into pieces and thrown into the canal. The house and car were cleaned to remove evidence. The bike of the deceased was left in another area. But with the help of CCTV cameras, call details and location, the accused were caught.
