UP Employee DA/Bonus 2024: There is good news for lakhs of government employees and pensioners of Uttar Pradesh. Two gifts are going to be received before Diwali. It is reported that the Yogi Adityanath government of the state is going to increase the dearness allowance and dearness relief of employees and pensioners by 3% before Diwali, the benefit of bonus will also be given.

The Finance Department has started preparations regarding DA and Bonus, it is expected that both these proposals can be given the green signal in the cabinet meeting to be held before Diwali. This will benefit about 20 lakh employees and 8 lakh pensioners of the state. It is estimated that DA and bonus will put a burden of Rs 3 thousand crore on the UP government.

DA will increase by 3 percent, arrears will also be available

If media reports are to be believed, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will increase the DA of state employees and pensioners by 3 percent before Diwali, after which the DA will increase from 50 to 53 percent. The new rates will be applicable from July 2024, so arrears from July to September will also be available. There is also news that in view of Diwali, the salary for October can be sent at the end of October instead of November.

Bonus benefit before Diwali

Apart from DA, state employees will also get the benefit of bonus before Diwali, the Finance Department has prepared a file regarding this which will soon be sent to CM Yogi. After getting approval from here, the state government will issue orders in this regard.

It is estimated that like last year, this time too the employees will be given a bonus of up to Rs 7,000. Along with state employees, daily wage and work charge employees will also get the benefit of this bonus. 14.82 lakh employees will benefit from this. For this, the government will incur an expenditure of more than Rs 1025 crore.

3 times increase in uniform allowance also possible

Apart from DA bonus, policemen are also expected to get gifts on the occasion of Police Memorial Day on October 21. There is news that Yogi government can increase the uniform allowance of policemen by three times. This will benefit 3 lakh 30 thousand non-gazetted police employees. At present, the personnel posted in these police forces get uniform allowance of Rs 7500 every five years. Now there is a proposal to increase it to Rs 22 thousand. Personnel posted on head constable, constable and equivalent posts get an allowance of Rs 3000 every year, which is proposed to be increased to Rs 6000. The annual allowance of Rs 2200 received by all Class IV employees is expected to be increased to Rs 3500.
