In a program organized at the BJP office in Civil Lines, State Minister Dayashankar Mishra “Dayalu Guru” said as the chief guest that the then Congress government tried to destroy India's democracy. Rahul Gandhi defames India outside the country by appealing for democracy in India. In protest against the Emergency on June 25, 1975, the BJP celebrated this day as a black day and honored the democracy fighters.

He further said that Congress trapped the people in a web of lies in this Lok Sabha election. Emergency will always be remembered as a black day. BJP has taken the initiative to honour those democracy fighters who suffered the atrocities of the then dictatorial government in that period and opposed the Emergency. The lies of Congress will be exposed in front of the country.

While talking to the media, on the question of an MP saying Jai Hindu Rashtra in the Parliament, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu Guru said that whoever has an objection to saying Jai Hindu should leave the country. The sycophants of that time justified this step of Indira Gandhi.

The minister said that only those who witnessed that period and suffered the atrocities of the government can understand its pain. Constitutional amendments were made for selfish reasons. Rahul Gandhi is desperate to get power and hence he is spreading lies like changing the Constitution. Congress has tried to mislead the country.

Former minister Dr Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur said that Indira Gandhi imposed emergency by forcibly getting the signature of the then president. There cannot be a blacker stain in democracy than this. Rajendra Mishra said that democracy was murdered on 25 June 1975. Those who opposed were brutally put in jail. Those who crushed the constitution talk about the constitution today. There was chaos in the whole country during the emergency. Forced sterilization was done. Indira Gandhi has added a black chapter in the history of this country by imposing emergency.

Senior BJP leader Narendra Dev Pandey, who was jailed during the emergency, said that during that period, press media was banned. Whoever tried to speak against the emergency, a warrant was issued against him overnight and he was sent to jail. There was silence in the entire city. The situation was worse than curfew. People were so scared that they were afraid to take the name of the government or Indira. The jail officials were ordered to inflict as much atrocities on the MISA prisoners as possible.

Rakesh Srivastava, while sharing his experience, said that he was being sent to jail by filing unnecessary cases. Radhe Krishna Dubey, while recalling the dark chapter of emergency, said that he used to teach in Shishu Mandir and was associated with the Sangh. As per the plan of the Sangh, he used to look after the work of the Sangh during the emergency. During that time, attempts were made to arrest him several times. He used to hide, even many times he hid in Swaraj Bhavan.

During the program, the Minister of State honoured all the democracy fighters who were sent to jail during the Emergency by garlanding them and bowing to them. During this, democracy fighters Narendra Dev Pandey, Rakesh Srivastava, Ram Babu Kesharwani, Krishna Pandey, Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Radhe Krishna Goswami, Dr. Shriprakash Mishra, Sushil Kumar Shukla, Dhanpat Pandey, Vijay Kumar Pandey were honoured.

On this occasion, hundreds of people including Shashi Varshney, Ranjit Singh, program coordinator Vikram Bhadauria, co-coordinator Natwar Lal Bharti, Kuldeep Mishra, Shiva Tripathi, Rajesh Gond, Anand Dubey, Naveen Shukla were present.
