Fatehpur, 19 September (HS). On Tuesday, the meeting of Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Promotion Scheme was held in the Collectorate Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shruti. The District Magistrate informed that the government will give ten to fifteen thousand rupees as incentive to milk cow farmers.
He discussed in detail the “Nand Baba Milk Mission” run by the Dairy Development Department under the new scheme under which “Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Promotion Scheme” and the formation program of Primary Milk Cooperative Society and said that the formation of Primary Milk Cooperative Society is as per the intention of the government. Every development should be done section wise.
He said that the rural economy of the district should be strengthened under the milk development program based on cooperation. This will help in eradication of poverty from rural life, employment generation and rapid industrialization of the district as well as support in continuous development of rural economy. The Milk Development Department should provide its positive support in providing remunerative prices to farmers for their milk and strengthening the agro-based industrial structure.
Under the Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Incentive Scheme, progressive animal farmers will be given incentive amount of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per animal for producing milk at the prescribed standard from indigenous cows of Unnati breed like Giri, Sahiwal, Haryana, Ganga Tiri and Tharparkar etc. Certificate should also be given.
