Firozabad, 19 August (HS). There are many ancient Shiva temples in the district which have their own different beliefs. Although Shiva devotees perform worship here every Monday, but on the last Monday of Sawan, there was a huge crowd of Shiva devotees in these Shiva temples. Shiva devotees performed worship and Abhishek.
Shri Siddheshwar Nath Mahadev Temple
Shri Siddheshwar Nath Mahadev Temple located in Mohalla Ganj of Suhag Nagri Firozabad city is about seven hundred years old. Here Shivling appeared from the ground. The temple was looked after by Ramlalji Maharaj. Since then, along with the fulfillment of people's wishes, it has become a center of faith. At the place where Baba's Shivling is located, there was a small room on which a tin shed was placed. But as people's faith increased, the temple took the form of grandeur. On every Monday of the month of Sawan, thousands of Shiva devotees performed Puja.
Rameshwarnath Temple
Shri Rameshwarnath Mahadev Temple located in Galla Mandi of Firozabad city is more than a hundred years old. The walls of the temple also testify to this. The biggest legend of the temple is related to continuous darshan for 41 days. Every wish of those who visit for 41 consecutive days is fulfilled. Every Monday of Sawan, a large number of Shiva devotees perform Puja and anoint Lord Shiva here.
Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple
There is a thousand years old ancient temple of Lord Shiva in the Duli Mohalla of the district. This temple is famous far and wide by the name of Panchmukhi Mahadev. This temple was established about a thousand years ago by King Dulichand of Gwalior. That is why this place was named Mohalla Duli. This temple was spread over a large area but as the population increased, the boundaries of this temple also kept on getting smaller. Even today, Rudrabhishek is performed on Lord Panchmukhi Mahadev in the month of Sawan and devotees come from far and wide to see him. If the priest is to be believed, free food has been arranged here for the saints and helpless people coming from far and wide.
Santi's ancient temple
The Santeshwar Nath Mahadev temple located in Santi village of Khairgarh area away from the city is hundreds of years old. Maharaj Shantanu had established this temple. There is a fort near the temple, which is now in ruins. Excavations have been done several times to find out the depth of the Shivling here. But till date it could not be ascertained how deep the Shivling is inside the ground. Many miracles are also associated with this temple. There was a continuous flow of devotees on the Monday of Sawan. Shiva devotees offered Kaavad here and performed Abhishek by performing Puja.
Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple
Situated 25 kms from Firozabad, this temple of Kaleshwar Mahadev is famous far and wide. This temple was established by King Ugrasen of Mathura in the Dwapar era. The Shivlinga established here is one of the Jyotirlingas of Lord Mahadev. Its main lineage is connected to Mahakal of Ujjain. If the priest of the temple is to be believed, the devotees have witnessed many miracles here. From the children studying to the unemployed, all come here and pray to God and Kaleshwar Mahadev fulfills their every wish.
Kandeshwar Mahadev Temple
The temple of Kandeshwar Mahadev located in Devkheda village of Pachokhara police station area, located about 32 km from the district headquarters of Firozabad, is amazing and miraculous. The story of this Shivling, which is more than 500 years old, is mythological. The Shivling found during the excavation of the land brings welfare to the devotees. As soon as the dome is built in the temple, it collapses automatically. Therefore, the roof over the Shivling has been left open. The history of this temple is more than 500 years old. Some farmers of Devkheda and Nagla Mahadev villages were digging in the pile of straw on the farm. While digging, a Shivling was seen from the ground and it was installed here. When the Shivling came out from the pile of straw, this Shivling was also named Kandeshwar Mahadev.
