What is Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme?

If you want to apply for this scheme then apply online as soon as possible. If the crop gets damaged due to any natural disaster like flood, drought etc., then financial assistance is given to the farmers through this scheme. Through this scheme, farmers are provided ₹7500 per hectare if they suffer losses up to 20%.

Kharif crops under this scheme include paddy, maize, soybean, potato, brinjal, tomato and cabbage. Farmers of all 38 districts of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.

What are the conditions of this scheme?

There is a facility to select more than one crop under Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme. Under the scheme, assistance will be paid for a maximum of 2 hectares per farmer. Farmers of Nagar Panchayat/City Council area are also eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

When is Rabi crop?

Rabi crop is sown in the month of October-November. They are harvested from April to June. The crops grown at this time are wheat, barley, potato, gram, lentils, linseed, peas and mustard.
