A big controversy has arisen over the changes in the work suggested in the general meeting of Ahmedabad District Panchayat. The committee members have claimed that they have taken approval in the general meeting in this regard, although there is a chamber for the chairman of the executive committee, but the decision to spend lakhs of rupees on the new chamber has been taken in the meeting of the executive committee.
The work on the chamber of the acting chairman has also started. Officials, including the DDO and chairman, were using the hall for small meetings, dividing the majority ruling party members over spending lakhs on the new chamber, leading to resentment among BJP members.
Some BJP members, on the condition of anonymity, said that in the general assembly, Juwal Rupavati village in road work, Salajada village in road work, sewer line work in Badarkha village and Juwal Rupavatigam and Salajada village were renamed for the highest position in road work. A total amount of 20 lakhs has been allocated for tower work, Sarodagam road work and facing Ambaliyaragam survey number 131 government wasteland. Works suggested by some members. It is believed that the executive committee has amended the works of Rs 20 lakhs of the 15th Finance Commission grant amount on the basis of the authority received in the general assembly. It has also been approved. Some members were angry that there is no point in spending on the chamber. Because 13 shops have been occupied except two leased shops in the District Panchayat building. Now two shops will also be occupied in a short time. Due to the shops being large on the ground floor, it is being planned to build the office of the elected wing presidents on the ground floor. At present, public money is being wasted by misrepresenting the cost of construction of the new chamber. This decision has been taken by taking the District Panchayat President into confidence, discussions have also intensified regarding this. 40 new chairs will be purchased for sitting in the chamber. Despite having old chairs, the members do not think of buying new chairs. Elected members in the district take decisions according to their respective interests. People talk about public interest. But public interest works are not visible in the district administration. The DDO has also maintained silence against the new chamber. As per the amendment made in the budget, the District Panchayat officials and officers have been given a membership fee of Rs three lakh and an annual grant of Rs. 2,10,000 was also decided to be paid.
Now, in Rampura of Detroit, boring for drinking water has been approved. The members did not take any interest till the entire summer passed. The opposition of the Zila Panchayat said that the ruling party has no interest in the matters of the public. Road and paving work is done only on recommendation. Despite large scale irregularities in this work, the officers are unable to say anything to the contractors who have political support.
