Lucknow, March 16 (HS). JPS Rathore, Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, laid the virtual foundation stone of the warehouse to be built by UPCLDF at PCU auditorium of Sahakaritha Bhawan, Lucknow on Saturday at 12 noon.
Under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, courtesy of the Government of India, 43 warehouses of 100 MT capacity, 11 warehouses of 250 MT capacity and 09 warehouses of 1000 MT capacity will be constructed in different areas of the state. Apart from this, the Cooperative Minister also virtually inaugurated the District Cooperative Bank Ltd. Shahjahanpur branch, Sidhauli.
On this occasion, Cooperative Minister JPS Rathore said that the construction of these warehouses will increase the storage capacity. The warehouses will be used to store farmers' produce, crops and fertilizers through cooperative societies. This will be done for long term storage and to maintain the quality of the products. With this, food grains and fertilizers will remain completely safe.
Deepika Singh and Shahreen Siddiqui were given drones and electronic vehicles in the program. A film based on the glimpse of development of co-operation was also shown in the programme.
Additional Commissioner and Additional Registrar (GGO) Cooperative Shrikant Goswami thanked the guests.
JPS Rathore also laid the foundation stone of Agricultural Science Research Center in the premises of Institute of Cooperative and Corporate Management Research and Training (ICCMRt), Ring Road, Indiranagar, Lucknow on Saturday.
On the occasion of virtual foundation stone laying ceremony, Commissioner and Registrar Cooperatives Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner and Additional Registrar (Banking) Ekta Singh, Managing Director of PCF Sanjay Kumar, Managing Director of UPCLDF Ram Prakash, Managing Director of LDB Rajesh Kumar Kulshrestha and in addition organized in ICCMRT. Managing Director Alok Dixit and other officers were present in the program.
