Deoria, July 13 (HS). A health camp was organized by the Health and Wellness Center on Saturday in the flood-affected village of Parsiya Dewar in Barhaj block. Pregnant women's checkup, vaccination, BP, sugar checkup and other health facilities were provided in the health camp. During this, CMO Dr. Rajesh Jha, who came to inspect the camp, enquired about the facilities being provided from the patients and gave necessary instructions to the doctors.

The patients who came to the camp were given free medicines along with health facilities for cold, fever, stomach ache, skin disease and fungal infection, sanitary pads and free medicines. A team of doctors from Primary Health Center Mahen examined the health of the people.

The CMO said that the ASHA worker is running the Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Abhiyan in the area. He said that the posters of communicable diseases should be displayed at a prominent place in the school. The work of fogging and spraying of anti-larvae should also be completed on a war footing in the district.

He said that there is a danger of spread of infectious diseases when the flood water rises and falls, therefore caution is being taken in advance so that diseases can be prevented in time.

The CMO said that under the Stop Diarrhea Campaign, life saving ORS solution should be given to children aged 0 to 5 years by going door to door. Along with this, workers should also distribute zinc tablets. The department should give two packets of ORS and zinc tablets to the children. Along with this, the method of making ORS solution should be told.

He said that ASHA workers should check the children and also make their parents aware. They should also inform the children about the amount of solution to be given in case of diarrhea. Apart from this, children and parents are being made aware about drinking boiled water, washing hands properly, cleanliness and taking nutritious food.
