Pledge of ‘social justice’ on BJP foundation day
Addressing the party’s foundation day program organized in Lucknow, CM Yogi said that Baba Saheb’s struggle and his Constitution are the foundation of today’s India. He directed that the areas around the statues of Baba Saheb installed in all the districts of the state should be renovated. The plan includes expansion of basic facilities like boundary walls of parks, lighting, seating arrangements and drinking water for the visitors visiting there. The Chief Minister made it clear that this work will be done on a war footing so that many important works can be completed before Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14).
Monuments will get a modern look
The Chief Minister has instructed the officials that during beautification, special attention should be paid to greenery and landscaping in the parks. Along with this, digital galleries or notice boards giving information related to Baba Saheb’s life and his thoughts can also be installed. The aim of the Yogi government is that the coming generations can closely see and understand the legacy of the Messiah of Dalits and backward people. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial in Lucknow and parks in other cities will now get a new glow.
Preparation for grand event on Ambedkar Jayanti
This announcement is also being linked to the preparations for Ambedkar Jayanti to be held on 14th April. The Chief Minister has asked all the District Magistrates to ensure that there is no chaos anywhere during the programs to be held on April 14 and all the monuments are seen clean and shining. This initiative of the government is being seen as a big step to express respect towards the Dalit community with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
