Lucknow, August 13 (HS). Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Tuesday inaugurated a health camp organized at the Raj Bhavan to check the physical health of upper primary school children.
In the health camp organized at Raj Bhavan Hospital on the inspiration of the Governor, detailed tests of eyes, blood, urine and TB of the children were conducted. During the camp, specialist doctors examined the health of the children and gave them proper advice. Governor Anandiben Patel gave instructions to complete the tests of all the children properly during the camp.
Addressing the children, the Governor said that they should get their health checkup done properly and adopt truth, honesty and noble thinking to be successful in life. Explaining the importance of cleanliness to the children, he said that cleanliness not only keeps our body healthy but also makes our society healthy. The Governor also said that along with the children, teachers should also take care of their health and get themselves tested. He said that regular health checkup is very important for the physical and mental development of children. Emphasizing on organizing such camps, he said that this will enable children to get the right health services and necessary guidance on time.
In the said test camp, health check-up of 93 children (51 boys and 42 girls) was done out of the total 137 children studying in Raj Bhavan Upper Primary School. The health check-up of the remaining children will be done again by calling them to the hospital so that no child is deprived of health check-up.
Glasses were distributed to 15 children who were found to have visual impairment during the eye test so that their vision problems could be resolved and they could perform better in their studies. Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, Special Officer Education Dr. Pankaj L. Jani and other officials were present on this occasion.
