It is worth mentioning that only ten revolutionaries of Hindustan Republican Army had seized the government treasury by stopping the train near Kakori and openly challenging the British government. The revolutionaries' aim was to buy Mauser with this money. The furious British government used all its might to arrest dozens of revolutionaries and tried them in two phases. The case also included those five revolutionaries who had nothing to do with the Kakori action but were earlier involved in the action in Bamrauli village in Pilibhit on 25 December 1924, Bichpuri village on 9 March 1925 and Dwarkapur village in Pratapgarh on 24 May 1925. Apart from this, 11 revolutionaries were prosecuted and given long sentences for being associated with HRA without being involved in any action. Out of the 10 revolutionaries involved in the Kakori train robbery, Pandit Ramprasad Bismil and Bharatveer Mukandilal Gupta are the main great heroes and sources of inspiration from the Chambal region. Dr. Shah Alam Rana, founder of Chambal Museum, has appealed to all countrymen to join this campaign.
