Canadian PM Trudeau, known for his anti-India attitude, resigns

Toronto: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, famous for his anti-India stance, has finally resigned. He was under heavy pressure from the party to resign, although he would remain in the post of Prime Minister until his successor was chosen. He has announced his resignation when elections are held in October. In this way, Trudeau’s party will contest the elections without its main face.

Trudeau seems certain to lose to the opposition Conservatives in the October election. Trudeau came to power in 2015, ending a decade-long rule by the Conservatives. Initially, Canada was widely praised for its liberal suffrage stance.

There has been a significant increase in resentment and dissent against Justin, the 53-year-old son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, in recent years. They were also angered by rising grain prices and rising housing costs, as well as a significant increase in immigration. There was tremendous resentment against Trudeau in his own party regarding his policies. Due to Trudeau’s policies, Canada’s situation became so bad that its relations with all major countries deteriorated. Trudeau’s relations with major countries like India, China, Russia, Germany, France, Britain, Japan, Australia deteriorated. Ultimately his relations with America also deteriorated. That is why America’s newly elected President Trump called Trudeau not the Prime Minister but the Governor of the American state of Canada.

India’s relations with Canada reached their lowest level during Trudeau’s tenure. India was angered by Trudeau’s support for Khalistanists. Despite Trudeau’s support, the Khalistanis did not give him the support they should have.

In that too, Trudeau’s imposition of limits on immigration angered Khalistanis. They saw this as a move to control them. Therefore, the support given to the government was also withdrawn.

Fed up with his policies, his cabinet colleagues also started leaving him one by one. It is believed that with the resignation of the Finance Minister close to him, Trudeau’s curtain has fallen. Now it was just waiting to know when he would resign and he has also announced his resignation.
