Can children also wear Rudraksha? Know the proper rules

Rudraksha for Child: Rudraksha (Rudraksha) is a rosary that has many benefits when worn. There are many types of Rudraksha and it has great significance. Talking about the literal meaning of Rudraksha, the word Rudraksha means the eye of Rudra, Rudra is another name for Lord Shiva. Hence it is compared to the eyes of Lord Shiva. According to the Upanishads, Rudraksha originated from the tears shed by Kalagni Rudra while destroying the demon Tripurasura and hence it is also known as the tears of Lord Shiva.

It is said that the person wearing Rudraksha is blessed with good health, good luck and success. In many ancient texts, wearing Rudraksha means liberation from sins and attainment of immense virtue. It is said that being around Rudraksha also brings protection and peace. Rudraksha can range from one to 27 Mukhi. The person wearing Rudraksha receives the blessings of Lord Shiva. Panchmukhi Rudraksha is considered safe and auspicious for all.

Children should wear Rudraksha
According to astrology, children can also wear Rudraksha. It protects your child from the negative effects of any energy. It gives clarity to the mind and enhances spiritual growth. After wearing Rudraksha, teach the child to chant the Om Namah Shivaya mantra.

However, children should never wear a pointed Rudraksha. Students are advised to wear 4 Mukhi, 6 Mukhi and Ganesh Rudraksha. Monks seeking salvation are always advised to wear a pointed Rudraksha. Overall, Rudraksha can be worn by anyone, be it children, students, elderly or women, but it is important to follow the rules of wearing it.

Rudraksha has the power to protect the wearer from negative energy. It is advisable to never tie Rudraksha in a black thread. You can wear it with silver or gold. If your child wants to wear it in a thread, then always tie it in a red or yellow thread.

Rules for carrying Rudraksha for children

  • Children are allowed to wear Rudraksha as they respond better to Rudraksha than adults. Rudraksha helps in the physical and intellectual development of children. Wearing Rudraksha can be beneficial for children, but they must follow certain rules so that they can get the full benefits of Rudraksha.
  • Rudraksha beads are as sacred as Tulsi beads. It should be worn following certain rules. It is believed that if a child is born in a family where meat and alcohol are consumed or if someone dies in a family, Rudraksha should not be worn.
  • One should chant the Rudraksha Mantra about 9 times before wearing the Rudraksha in the morning, after removing the Rudraksha and before going to sleep.
  • After removing the Rudraksha, it should be placed in a sacred place like the altar of your worship temple.
  • Rudraksha should never be worn in an impure state. Rudraksha should not be touched in an impure state or when you have not taken a bath and it should be worn only when you are clean.
  • You are advised not to lie while wearing Rudraksha and are also advised to visit a Shiva temple while wearing it.
