Meanwhile, BMC has decided that in the third wave, like the first and second wave, restrictions or lockdown will not be imposed on the basis of positivity rate.

This time the BMC will consider the rate of admission of patients and oxygen usage as the basis for imposing restrictions. Chahal said in the interview that 96 percent of the patients who have been admitted to the oxygen beds of 186 hospitals in Mumbai have not got the corona vaccine. We have also seen that the patients who got the vaccine are not reaching the ICU. We currently have a stock of 21 lakh vaccines. The biggest challenge at this time is to complete the vaccination of the entire adult population. The gap of 84 days between the two doses is also a big reason for this challenge.
