Bhadohi, 04 June (HS). The Bharatiya Janata Party may have suffered a setback in Purvanchal, but the lotus has bloomed for the third time in Bhadohi. The people here have chosen the BJP this time too. Despite the polarization of Muslim-Yadav votes, BJP's Dr. Vinod Bind prevailed over TMC candidate Laliteshpati Tripathi.
BJP got 458042 votes. Trinamool got 413708 votes while Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Harishankar Chauhan Dada got 154207 votes. He defeated Trinamool by about 44 thousand votes.
From the initial trends of counting, BJP maintained its lead. While the biggest tragedy with Trinamool candidate Laliteshpati Tripathi proved to be his election symbol. Due to this, he kept lagging behind in the election and had to face a crushing defeat. After BJP MP Ramesh Bind joined the Samajwadi Party, it seemed that Ramesh Bind's supporters might go with Trinamool but this did not happen. Bharatiya Janata Party succeeded in making lotus bloom for the third time from Bhadohi.
