Hamirpur, 05 June (HS). After a long struggle and recounting, Samajwadi Party won the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat. Pushpendra Singh Chandel, who was a two-time MP from Hamirpur, was disappointed and frustrated by this. He kept demanding recounting for the third time as well, but his pleas were not heard.
Samajwadi Party has won for the second time among the MPs elected from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat so far. Here in 2024, Rajnarayan Budhaulia rode a bicycle and reached the Parliament and now Ajendra Singh Rajput has chosen the path of reaching the Parliament by riding a bicycle. Ajendra Singh Rajput has won by 2629 votes.
Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat is formed by combining Hamirpur Mahoba and Banda's Tindwari assembly. This time, to ensure the victory of the BJP candidate, the CM held two public meetings and the Prime Minister held one public meeting. While both the deputy CMs of Uttar Pradesh also held public meetings, but even after this the public turned towards the SP.
The number of Lodhi voters in Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat is around 2.5 lakhs which plays a decisive role in the victory of the candidate. When BJP saw such a large number of Lodhis going towards SP, it organised a meeting of the Prime Minister in Lodhi dominated Rath assembly, so that Lodhi voters could be brought to its side, in which BJP got success to some extent. But it could not get enough to make the BJP candidate, who was a two-time MP, win. In this way, the SP candidate won by 2629 votes and the path to reach the Parliament was cleared.
Many BJP leaders did not help
Behind the defeat of the current two-time MP of Hamirpur are BJP workers and those people who were in the race for the ticket for the last ten years. Those who thought that if MP Pushpendra Singh Chandel scores a hat-trick, then our claim for the ticket will end forever. Due to these reasons, the ticket aspirants did not participate in the elections.
The workers were angry at the neglect
On the other hand, the workers were also not satisfied with the MP because the MP never helped any worker. Pushpendra Singh Chandel is accused of not receiving calls from workers and common people. Whenever MP Pushpendra Singh Chandel was asked about the development work done by him, he counted the works of Yogi and Modi government. The MP, who hails from Mahoba district, never told about the work done from his fund.
