BJP high command will react at the right time on Naidu’s arrest: Minister Devusingh Chauhan


Vijayawada: Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan has said that the central leadership of BJP will respond at the appropriate time on the arrest of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to media persons at the launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana in the city on Sunday, the Union Minister said the BRS government was indulging in corrupt practices in Telangana and people were aware of its corruption. Expressing confidence that the BJP will form the government in Telangana in the upcoming elections, he said the BJP got 45% of the votes in Karnataka but lagged behind in numbers.

He criticized some political parties and individuals who were making illogical comments on Sanatan Dharma. He said, “It is unfortunate that people are making adverse comments, while Sanatan Dharma has enhanced the image of the country.” Chauhan expressed confidence that BJP will win the 2024 elections with an overwhelming majority. “BJP is ruling in 15 states and will extend its rule to more states in the upcoming elections,” he said.

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao said NITI Aayog has selected Visakhapatnam along with three other cities for development. There will be more development in Visakhapatnam in future. Other cities which will be developed are Varanasi, Mumbai and Surat. State BJP chief Daggubati Purandeshwari clarified that the saffron party and the Jana Sena Party are in alliance in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media persons in Vijayawada on Sunday after attending the birthday celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized by the party, he said that Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has already made it clear that he is part of the NDA and the reasons for his announcement. Regarding BJP’s stand, he said, “This will be decided by the central leadership and we will follow it.”

On criticism of BJP’s silence on Naidu’s arrest, he reminded media persons that it was the BJP which was the first to condemn it. He said, “We have clearly said that the government did not follow any rules and regulations before the arrest. Apart from this, our leaders in Telangana have also condemned the arrest of Naidu. Therefore, to say that BJP has not given any reaction on this is not appropriate.
