Haridwar, 23 November (HS). Bhalla College Stadium, renovated by Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority in the middle of the city at a cost of Rs 9 crore 5 lakh, can now be used by sports lovers and institutions. This stadium, built as per international standards, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dhami on 11 November.
HRDA Vice President IAS Anshul Singh said that the authority will conditionally make the stadium available for sports at nominal rates. For this, about five thousand rupees will have to be deposited as fee for day and about four times this amount for day-night. Booking for this has also been started by Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority. Organizations and players organizing matches and tournaments can also book the stadium through HRDA website www.hrdasports.com.
According to HRDA, the newly constructed Bhalla Stadium is a cricket ground meeting the international standards, which has the facility to conduct all types of matches day and night. To promote sports, the fees for organizing cricket matches in the stadium has also been kept minimal.
