Bhagalpur, 09 June (HS). The market has been decorated with the famous Jardalu mango of Bhagalpur and litchi of Navgachiya.
Crowds of buyers are seen at the shops selling Jardalu mango and Navgachiya litchi all around the city's Sandis Compound and in the main markets. This year, Jardalu mango has arrived in the market at the right time according to the season.
People are also buying Jardalu mango and litchi in large numbers. The number of customers is less in the morning. But as the evening approaches, people start crowding the mango and litchi shops. However, due to less production of mangoes, the price of mangoes is higher this year than last year. Jardalu mango is being sold at Rs 60 to Rs 70 per kg in Bhagalpur market.
It is worth mentioning that every year Bhagalpur's Jardalu mango is sent as a gift to the country's Prime Minister and President. Local shopkeepers said that this time the sale of mangoes is good as compared to last year. There is a crowd of customers from morning to evening. People mostly come here for Jardalu mangoes. Last year Jardalu mangoes were sold for up to Rs. 20 per kg. But this time mangoes are being sold for Rs. 60 to Rs. 70 per kg.
The sale of Jardalu mango is very good. Customer Satyam Verma said that this time the price of Jardalu mango is high. But everything is fine. This is a famous mango of Bhagalpur. We taste the mango of our district every year. This time the price of mango has increased compared to last year. It is worth mentioning that recently Bhagalpuri Jardalu mango was sent from Bhagalpur to the Prime Minister, President and many dignitaries of the country in about 2000 boxes. Mangoes were sent to Bihar Bhawan with the help of Vikramshila train.
