The BCCI has announced a central contract for Indian cricket players. A total of 34 players have been included in the new contract. The biggest thing is that Ishaan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer are again included in this contract. While there are some players who have been included in this contract for the first time. This central contract for Indian male cricketers is effective from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.
34 players were divided into four grades in central contract
In the Central Contract of BCCI, 34 players are divided into four grades. Each player will be given an annual amount from BCCI as per his grade. The maximum amount of seven crore rupees is available to A+ grade players. While Grade A gets five crore rupees. Whereas B grade players get three crore rupees and C grade players get one crore rupees annually.
Four players placed in A+ grade
The BCCI has placed four players in A+ grade in the central contract. These include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumra and Ravindra Jadeja. While 6 players are included in Grade A. These include Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant.
Shreyas Iyer again got a place in B grade
Shreyas Iyer has been restored to Grade B in the new central contract. Apart from him, four players in this grade are Suryakumar Yadav, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal. While 19 players are kept in grade C. These include Ishan Kishan, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Rituraj Gaikwad, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Ankiddeep Singh, famous Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurael, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akashdeep, Varun Chakravarti and Harshit Rana.
