Let us tell you that 42-year-old wife Lalji Bind, a resident of Basirahan village of the police station area, has accused her nephew of the village of burning her by sprinkling petrol on her on Thursday morning.

The victim was sleeping in the verandah of the house on Wednesday night, her twenty-year-old son was sleeping at some distance. Meanwhile, Suresh Vind's nephew from the same village climbed the roof and came to the courtyard and came near me and poured petrol on me and set me on fire, when I screamed, he opened the shutter and ran away. Under police supervision, the victim was taken to the Community Health Center Suitakala, where after first aid, the doctors referred her to the District Hospital Sadar in view of her critical condition. The victim has three children, a son and two daughters, out of which one daughter is married. The other daughter had gone to her aunt's house at that time. Her husband is in Mumbai for livelihood.
