Araria, July 10 (HS). The Animal and Fisheries Resources Department organized a special Fisherman's Day at the district headquarters on Wednesday, in which fisheries farmers and fishermen, along with fisheries department officials, participated. The Fisheries Society Minister and Fisheries Officer jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The stage was conducted by Fisheries Extension Officer Subodh Kumar.
On this occasion, District Fisheries Officer Nagendra Kumar addressed the fish farmers who had come from different blocks of the district and gave detailed information about the various schemes being run by the Fisheries Department. He told how fish production can be increased so that our fish farming community can get maximum economic benefit. The ministers of the Fisheries Society also expressed their views.
On this, the District Fisheries Officer asked the ministers of the society to form a committee at the district level. The decision taken by the committee will be conveyed to the Director of the Fisheries Department, so that the problems of the fishermen can be solved easily and timely.
