Mumbai: Famous magazine 'Time' has announced the list of 100 most powerful people in the world in the field of Artificial Intelligence, in which Indian actor Anil Kapoor has also been included. Other giants who have made it to the list include Internet company giants like Mark Zuckerberg, Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai.
Even Anil Kapoor's die-hard fans are surprised to see his name in this list. Actually, Anil Kapoor had fought in the Delhi High Court to get legal protection from any further commercial use of his name, photo, voice and personality traits, including his 'Jakkas' dialogue delivery. Following Anil's claim, several websites and other organizations were banned from using Anil's personal and celebrity rights commercially.
Time has mentioned Anil Kapoor's name in the list because he won a case in the New Delhi High Court last September against the unauthorised misuse of AI in his copy.
Only two actors from around the world have made it to this list. Apart from Anil, Hollywood actor Scarlett Johnson is also included in this list. Scarlett has recently banned the use of her voice on an AI system.
Anil Kapoor himself expressed his displeasure about this on social media and said that I am extremely grateful and happy to see my place in the list of visionaries shaping the future of artificial intelligence. The list includes Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pachai, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, China's top computer scientist Andrew Yao, Open AI CEO Sam Altman, among others.
The list from India includes Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Proton's Anant Vijay Singh, Amazon Artificial Intelligence Head Rohit Prasad, Abridge Founder Shiva Rao, and Perplexity CEO Arvind Srinivas.
Among foreign celebrities, YouTuber Marcy Brownlee, artist Lawrence Leck, comedian and AI creator King Villanois are also included in the list.
