An employee stole Rs 30 lakh from a builder's bank account in Bandra

Mumbai: An employee of a Bandra-based builder transferred an amount of Rs 30 lakh from his account to his personal bank account. After this incident, the builder lodged a complaint at Kherwadi police station and the police have registered a case against the employee and started investigation. The builder alleges that the accused misused the OTP and transferred this amount to his personal account.

According to details received in this regard, the complainant Jaichand Nishar (45) is a builder by profession and lives with his family in Maharashtra Nagar area of ​​Bandra (E). His office is located in Gandhinagar area here. A civil engineer named Aftab Shaikh has been working with Nishar for the last three years.

According to a police officer in this regard, Sheikh was also managing the company's bank account in Nishar's absence. Sheikh also had details of all financial transactions including the company's user ID and password.

Nishar claimed in the FIR that on June 16 at 4.30 pm, when he was having lunch in the office, Aftab Shaikh, Sushant Khaire and his driver Sushant Pal were present there. At the same time, a man along with his seven-eight friends barged into Nishar's office and threatened Nishar and his staff to return the money given to buy the room. After this incident, Nishar went to Kherwadi police station to lodge a complaint and while he was present at the police station, he received a message stating that an amount of Rs.

Nishar was shocked to receive this message and upon further investigation, it was found that the amount was transferred to the account of Aftab Shaikh. Complainant Nishar later came to know that Shaikh had transferred the amount to his personal account by receiving the OTP without his knowledge while working in the office. Based on Nishar's statement, the police have registered a case of fraud against Shaikh and are further investigating the matter.
