Amitabh said, 'I do not smoke, do not drink alcohol and do not even eat non-veg. This is not because of any religion but because of the test. In my family my father was a vegetarian and my mother was not a vegetarian. Similarly, Jaya eats non-veg and I don't. I used to eat meat. He also used to drink alcohol and smoke but has now quit. In Kolkata, I used to smoke 200 cigarettes a day, yes 200. But after coming to Mumbai, I quit it. I used to drink too, I would drink whatever I could get my hands on but a few years ago I decided I didn't need it. These habits did not cause me any problems, except when I was shooting abroad because there was a problem of vegetarian food there.
There used to be fights between Amitabh during his college days.
Amitabh said that I am a non-violent person. I don't think I'm a violent person. I don't even lose my control. Yes, there were some fights during college days but that's all. The fighting on screen is very unrealistic. It should be good and people should accept it as it is.
