Baltimore Bridge Collapse: The cargo ship 'Daly' collided with the 'Francis Scott Bridge' in Baltimore and collapsed. Even US President Joe Biden praised the quick action of the cargo ship's 22-member crew, but Foxford Comics shamelessly mocked the ship's Indian crew by creating a racist cartoon about the Baltimore disaster. This cartoon has been shared on 'X', which many people including Indians are opposing.

The 2.6-kilometre-long Francis Scott Bridge over the Patapsco River collapsed within seconds after it collided with the Singapore-flagged cargo ship Dali off Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon. Six people have died in this accident. Most of the ship's crew were Indians. The team reported losing control of the ship to the Maryland Department of Transportation before the accident.

About 90 seconds after receiving the information, police officers stopped traffic on the bridge. It saved many lives, but instead of praising Jahan's crew, American web comics shared a racist cartoon depicting the tragedy. The animated video shows the ship's crew wearing only loincloths and with fear on their faces. The faces of these people show that the ship is now hitting the bridge.

Foxford Comics shared the video on 'X' and wrote, 'The final recording inside the cast.' Apart from this, the cartoon also has objectionable audio. This cartoon that was circulated not only portrayed Indians in a racist manner, but also underestimated the competence of the ship's crew. Indian economist Sanjeev Sanyal, while sharing the cartoon, wrote, 'At the time of this accident, the plane was being operated by a local pilot.'

Pooja Sangwan, a user, said, 'It is shameful that people are making fun of Indians for this tragic incident, while the Governor of Maryland himself is praising the crew.'
