In the coming days, e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart may face difficulties in India. These companies, which dominate the e-commerce sector, are accused of colluding with sellers to eliminate competition. It is now being claimed that the allegations have been found to be true and the regulator has found evidence of irregularities in the investigation.
This claim regarding CCI investigation
According to reports, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has found irregularities in its investigation against e-commerce companies and mobile manufacturers like Amazon and Flipkart. Leading e-commerce companies are known to have tie-ups with mobile manufacturers. It is being said that e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart used to take the business decisions of their partners themselves.
These allegations were leveled against Amazon and Flipkart
Big e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart have already been accused of adopting various tactics to eliminate competition. Earlier in February, retail traders' body CAT had written to competition regulator CCI complaining about Amazon and Flipkart. CAT asks CCI to investigate allegations of anti-competitive practices against Amazon and Flipkart. CAT had alleged that the two leading e-commerce companies were committing irregularities worth Rs 25,000 crore, affecting the livelihood of retailers and small shopkeepers.
Feedback from mobile retailers
Responding to the report of irregularities in CCI investigation, All India Mobile Retailers Association has expressed happiness. The association said it is happy with the news of CCI's action against the collusion of Xiaomi, Poco, OnePlus, Realme, Motorola, Samsung, Vivo etc. with e-commerce platforms in India. The association has demanded punitive action against all the companies involved in collusion.
There is information that there is a dispute going on on this issue
In fact, it has become a trend that mobile companies are making exclusive deals with e-commerce platforms. The new mobile phones are being made available for sale only on certain e-commerce platforms. Due to this, there is resentment among retailers and people running offline stores.
