South superstar Allu Arjun is in the news these days for his most awaited film 'Pushpa 2'. Meanwhile, the debate about South vs Bollywood has started once again.
When director Nikhil Advani revealed one thing about Allu Arjun, he said that the actor believes that Bollywood now lacks heroism. Nikhil Advani said in an interview that 'Allu Arjun once said what he sees as the biggest flaw in Bollywood?' He said, have you all forgotten how to be a hero? Whereas the films of the South have understood the basic spirit of heroism very closely and have been successful in exploiting it.' Nikhil Advani said, 'Earlier such films were made in Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan's 'Kalia' and 'Coolie' are examples of this. Amitabh Bachchan's character in that film was 'larger than life'. But now people have forgotten to make such films. Whereas the films of the South have deeply understood the feelings of heroism and have been successful in portraying it correctly. In South films, all the issues are presented with great action and the image of the hero, which the audience likes very much.' Last year, Bollywood was dominated by hits like 'Jawaan', 'Gadar 2' and 'Animal'. But this year, no film has been successful at the box office. This year, the South film 'Kalki 2898 AD' has become the highest grossing film so far. Allu Arjun's film 'Pushpa 2' is going to be released on 6 December this year.
