Allotment process begins in the newly built international women's hostel at BHU | News India

Varanasi, 25 August (HS). The process of accommodating international female students in the newly built international women's hostel at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has begun. The general administration of the university has issued a notification in this regard. Under the notification, directors of various institutes, faculty heads, department heads and other concerned have been informed that female students should be allotted the new international women's hostel. Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain has also passed the necessary orders.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the University, the capacity of the new International Women's Hostel (G$10) is 200 rooms. It can accommodate 400 students on the basis of double occupancy. At present, international students live in the old International Men's Hostel building and the old International Women's Hostel. The total capacity of these two hostels is approximately 240 students. The new International Women's Hostel has been built to provide better and modern facilities to international students. There has also been an encouraging increase in the capacity of hostels for international students in the University.
