Lucknow, 09 June (HS). LDA is once again preparing to vacate Akbar Nagar Phase One and Phase Two which were built on the land of Kukeral river in the state capital Lucknow. Earlier, allotment letters for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been given to six hundred families displaced from Akbar Nagar.
Giving this information on Sunday, LDA Additional Secretary Gyanendra Verma said that the demolition process will start again in Akbar Nagar from Monday. In the first phase, some illegal houses were demolished. The action was stopped during the elections. Now the houses of Akbar Nagar Colony which were settled illegally will be demolished again.
He said that there are some religious places and madrasas in Akbar Nagar area, which will also be demolished using bulldozers. Before the action in Akbar Nagar, the debris spread there has been removed. LDA officers and employees are present on the spot and distributing allotment letters related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
At the same time, displaced people from Akbar Nagar are also downloading the allotment letters being distributed for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana online. Although LDA officials are distributing allotment letters by organizing camps in Akbar Nagar, the number of people taking allotment letters online is higher. In this way, six hundred displaced families have received allotment letters in the last 24 hours, while a total of 1679 displaced families are yet to receive invitation letters.
