Lucknow: After the release of the caste survey report by the Bihar government, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed his support for it and called on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to leave politics behind and conduct a nationwide caste census. While addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Bihar caste based census published: This is the mathematical basis of social justice. The 85-15 caste census will open a new path not for conflict but for cooperation and those who are not domineering but are supporters of everyone’s rights, support and welcome it.
Those who really want to get their rights should get a caste census conducted. The BJP government should leave politics and conduct a nationwide caste census. Akhilesh Yadav further stressed that conducting caste census is a catalyst for the progress of the country. He explained that when people have knowledge of their population within different caste groups, it builds self-confidence.
“When people realize how much they are, they develop self-confidence and also develop social consciousness against social injustice, which increases their unity and they can overcome the obstacles coming in the way of their progress. They create new paths and also end the injustice being done by the traditional powerful people of the society. With this, society moves forward on the path of equality and integrated development of the country takes place. Caste census is the path to progress of the country,” said Akhilesh Yadav.
“It is now certain that the PDA will decide the direction of future politics,” he said. Meanwhile, reacting to the caste survey report released today by the Bihar government, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shafiqur Rehman Burke said that he is eyeing the 2024 general elections.
“What was the need for these data at this time? They have their eyes on the elections next year and are doing these activities. The country wants service, development, education and a better Prime Minister. There is none of these. They should be asked whether you are running the country, what have you done for its development…”? Burke asked while speaking to ANI in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party is partnering with others, including Janata Dal-United (JDU) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), in the India Bloc formed to take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 general assembly elections.
