Weather Update: After two days of rain and strong winds in Punjab, people have got some relief from the heat. After two days of rain, the average temperature in Punjab dropped to 6.4 degrees, which was 2.7 degrees below normal. But from today the temperature will rise again. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will remain normal for the next two days.

According to data released by the Meteorological Department, till yesterday evening, Amritsar received 5 mm of rain, Fazilka 3.5 mm and Moga 1 mm of rain, while the maximum temperature of each city fell by 4 to 9 degrees. The highest temperature was recorded at 41 degrees in Gurdaspur.

The increase is expected to be normal from today. Temperatures can be recorded around 42 degrees in some cities. According to the Meteorological Department, the speed of monsoon in the country has slowed down. Monsoon can knock in Punjab anytime after 25, while pre-monsoon will become active after 23 June. There is not much chance of rain but whenever it rains, people will get relief from the heat.

Ludhiana- Last evening, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 35.7 degrees, which is 1 degree below normal. Today the temperature is expected to remain between 27 to 41 degrees. The sky will be clear.

Patiala- On Thursday evening, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 36.6 degrees, 1 degree below normal. Today the temperature is expected to remain between 27 to 40 degrees. There will be light clouds.

Mohali- The maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 36.1 degrees on Thursday evening. Today the temperature is expected to remain between 27 to 41 degrees. It will be partly cloudy.
