Today, during the Gram Chaupal program organized at Gram Panchayat Pantikheda of Agra district, an uncomfortable situation arose for some time when the power supply was suddenly interrupted in the middle of the program. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, present in the village Chaupal, expressed his displeasure over this chaos and directed the officials to immediately improve the system.

Taking the Deputy Chief Minister’s displeasure seriously, the District Magistrate, Agra, showed promptness and immediately called the concerned departmental officers on the spot and directed to restore the electricity supply. Due to the activeness of the District Officer, power supply was restored within a short time.

After the power was restored, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya expressed satisfaction and appreciated the promptness of the District Officer. He said that any kind of negligence in programs related to public interest is not acceptable and the authorities should ensure prior preparation so that such situation does not recur in future.

During the program, the Deputy Chief Minister also listened to the problems of the villagers and instructed the concerned officials for quick solutions. The objective of Village Chaupal is to provide benefits of government schemes to the villagers and to solve their problems on the spot, which should be done by the administration with full sensitivity and responsibility.
