After Singapore-Hong Kong ban, Indian government also takes action on some MDH-Everest spices

MDH-Everest Masala Banned: After Indian spice companies Everest and MDH banned some spices in Singapore and Hong Kong, the Indian government has also ordered to check the quality of these spices. He has also asked to investigate the spices of other companies sold in the country.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has started sampling all brands of spices, including MDH Everest, across the country in the wake of the crackdown by Indian companies against spices in Singapore and Hong Kong, media sources said. Following the current situation, action will be taken against those spices which are not subject to FSSAI norms.

There is no control on the quality of the spices being exported.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India does not control the quality of spices exported. It has also started sampling spices for export. Will investigate and issue report.

Carcinogenic substances have been found

Ethylene oxide has been found in some spices from Hong Kong and Singapore MDH and Everest. Which is used as pesticide. In view of the risk of cancer from ethylene oxide, Singapore and Hong Kong have banned the sale of these spices and have directed to remove them from the market.

Ethylene oxide is a tasteless and odorless chemical used in agriculture, health care, and food disinfection. However, its increased quantity can cause serious diseases like cancer in the long run.
