After JIO, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea shook the market, know the tariff plan

After Reliance Jio and India's Airtel, the country's third largest telecom company Vodafone Idea has also increased mobile tariffs. The company has decided to increase both prepaid and postpaid mobile tariffs by 10 to 21 percent. Vodafone Idea's decision to increase mobile tariffs will be effective from July 4, 2024. So know what are the new plans.

For a plan with 365 days validity, you will have to pay Rs 1999

In a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges, Vodafone Idea informed about the decision to increase tariffs, saying that the company has continued its principles of supporting entry-level users and keeping the entry-level price nominal, while higher usage will be charged more. If we look at the company's tariff hike, now the customer will have to pay Rs 199 for the Rs 179 plan. For the Rs 459 plan, you will have to pay Rs 509 and for the Rs 1799 plan with 365 days validity, you will have to pay Rs 1999.

In postpaid plans, you will have to pay Rs 451 for the Rs 401 plan, Rs 551 for the Rs 501 plan, Rs 701 for the Rs 601 family plan and Rs 1201 for the Rs 1001 family plan.

Vodafone Idea is the only operator to offer free data at night to prepaid customers, the company said. The company said it will invest heavily in 4G and launch 5G mobile services. On Thursday, Reliance Jio was the first to announce a hike in mobile tariffs, followed by Bharti Airtel on the morning of Friday, June 28. And as expected, Vodafone Idea has also made mobile tariffs expensive.

Telecom companies have not increased mobile tariffs since December 2021. During this time, companies have started services by purchasing 5G spectrum. Vodafone Idea is going to launch 5G service. In such a situation, after investing on a large scale, there was pressure on the companies to increase the tariff.
