Afghanistan’s mystery girl and model Wazma Ayubi has been one of the strongest and vocal supporters of Team India during the Asia Cup 2023 this month. Sunday was no different as Vazma took to her social media platforms to praise Team India’s 8th Asia Cup title win, defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in a one-sided final.
“Congratulations Team India, what a birthday present for Shri Modi ji @PMOIndia. Congratulations to all the fans around the world #SLvsIND,” Ayubi posted on social media platform ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter.
The Afghanistan-born model and entrepreneur said, “In just 11.2 overs, the score became 33-7. We have seen a remarkable fall of 7 wickets. Incredible 6 wickets by @mdsirajofficial. Undoubtedly, today’s match will go down in history #INDvsSL #AsiaCup2023”.
After Afghanistan failed to reach the second round of the Asia Cup, Wazma announced that he would go on to win the tournament. Will support Team India. He wore the Indian jersey and posed for photographs with the Dubai skyline in his background. India defeated Pakistan in the Super 4 stage and then defeated Sri Lanka to reach the final. Vazma had congratulated the team on both the occasions.
Wazma seems to be the lucky fan who received the prized jersey as a ‘gift’ from Kohli. Virat’s signature is also there on the back of the jersey. Wazma is a big fan of Kohli. After completing 13,000 ODI runs in the match against Pakistan, he celebrated in Dubai, away from Colombo. The fact that he already has his own jersey means Wazma is one of the luckiest fans of cricketers in the world.
Wazma Ayoubi is a Dubai-based model, business owner and philanthropist. Born in Afghanistan in 1995, she left the country which was in political turmoil.
Vazma is the owner of the fashion brand ‘LAMAN’ and hopes to work in Bollywood someday. After Afghanistan’s elimination, Wazma became a fan of her second ‘home’ team – India. He cheered for the ‘Men in Blue’ against Pakistan and Nepal during the group fixtures.
