Bengaluru : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will retire the jersey numbers worn by AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle when they are inducted into the Indian Premier League (IPL) team’s ‘Hall of Fame’ on March 26. End RCB tweeted that jersey numbers 17 and 333 will be retired forever once AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle are inducted into RCB’s ‘Hall of Fame’. Wearing the number 17 jersey, De Villiers played 11 seasons (2011-2011) for RCB and scored 4491 runs in 156 matches for the franchise.
At the same time, West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle played seven seasons for RCB wearing jersey number 333. He scored 708 runs in 16 matches in the 2013 IPL season.
