On Monday at around 1 o'clock, Umashankar Sijnouda, a resident of Kanshiram Colony Chhimouli Road in Maudha town, committed suicide by jumping in front of a goods train at the railway crossing. On receiving the information, the Kotwali police reached the spot, filled the Panchnama of the deceased's body and sent it for post-mortem and started further proceedings.
The deceased Umashankar (34) has left behind his wife, a son and a daughter crying. Let us tell you that the deceased used to work as a laborer in Meerut. A few days ago, the deceased's father died due to heat, due to which Umashankar came to the village. The deceased was addicted to drinking alcohol and often beat his wife and children due to alcohol. He had drunk a lot of alcohol even before committing suicide and liquor quarters were also found at the scene of the incident. In this regard, Kotwali in-charge Ram Asare Saroj said that the deceased was addicted to alcohol and often used to fight in his family. But something will be said only after the post-mortem report.
