A scene like Simhastha Maha Kumbh was seen in Peshwai on Ganga Dussehra in Ujjain

Ujjain, June 16 (HS). Ganga Dussehra was celebrated in Dharmdhani Ujjain on Jyestha Shukla Dashami on Sunday in Amrit Siddhi Yoga. The celebrations started from the world famous Jyotirlinga Lord Mahakaleshwar temple. Here dance worship of Lord Mahakal was performed. 120 artists of Rasraj Prabhat Nritya Sansthan gave a dance performance after Bhasma Aarti. This will go on till Shayan Aarti at 11 pm. A scene like Simhastha was seen in the procession of saints and sages that started from Juna Akhara at Neelganga. Celebrative splendor was also spread at Shipra banks, Vishnu Sagar, Ganga Ghat and Gayatri Shaktipeeth.

The procession of saints and sages started from Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara Neelganga at 7.30 am. According to Mahant Rameshwar Giri Maharaj and Mahant Devgiri Maharaj, national secretary of Juna Akhara, the saints came out with horses, bands, flags and displayed the art of weapons. After this, all the saints and devotees took bath in Neelganga Sarovar. After the bath, mother Neelganga was anointed with Panchamrit.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also participated in the Ganga Dussehra festival organized at Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara located at Neelganga on Sunday morning. The Chief Minister worshipped the deities of Juna Akhara by placing a silver coin. Later, he performed puja by anointing Neelganga Sarovar with milk and sipped the water of the lake. The Chief Minister also performed Panchamrit Abhishek Puja of Ganga Mata located in the premises. In the Akhara, saints presented a silver Shivling to the Chief Minister and blessed him for a successful and glorious life. The Chief Minister also participated in the procession of saints and sages taken out on Ganga Dussehra, even outside the Akhara.
