Charlie Cassell made a record in his debut match: Scotland's fast bowler Charlie Cassell created history in ODI cricket in his debut match on Monday. In the very first match of his career, this bowler created a world record and took as many wickets in a match as no one could take before. Cassell took 7 wickets for 21 runs in 5.4 overs in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 match against Oman. With this, he has broken the 9-year-old record of South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada.

He took three wickets in a single over

Castle dismissed former Oman captain Zeeshan Masood LBW off the very first ball of his career. Then Ayan Khan was bowled off the second ball. This was the first instance of a bowler taking two wickets off his first two balls in ODI cricket. He took a wicket again on the fourth ball of this over. Castle took a total of 3 wickets in his first over and did not give a single run. He then completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Mehran Khan in the 18th over and joined the list of 15 players to take five wickets on men's ODI debut. Apart from this, he quickly collected Oman's lower-order batsmen. Castle took 7 wickets for just 21 runs in his first ODI.

Broke the record of Kagiso Rabada of South Africa

This is Charlie Castle's best bowling performance on debut by any bowler in ODI cricket. Earlier this record was in the name of South Africa's Kagiso Rabada. He took 6 wickets in his debut match against Bangladesh in 2015. Then Rabada took 6 wickets for 16 runs.
