Hardoi, June 22 (HS). Krishi Vigyan Kendra Hardoi II (ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal) organized a five-day training program on natural farming. Describing natural farming as the need of the hour, the center's subject matter expert Anjali Sahu discussed in detail the principles of natural farming, the importance of cow dung and cow urine, green manure, mulching, mixed farming, Wafsa and mixed cropping.
Inaugurating the training program on the first day, the center's senior scientist Dr. Pankaj Nautiyal, while giving information about the use of natural farming in horticultural crops, urged the farmers to adopt natural farming. The soil can be made fertile by making green manure from Sunai, Dhaincha and pulse crops and putting it in the field. This information was given by the center's expert Dr. Triloknath Rai. The center's expert Dr. Triloki Singh gave information about how Maduwa, Sawa and paddy can be cultivated in the Kharif season. Information on the use of Beeja Amrit and the importance of Panchgavya was highlighted by Indra's expert Mohit Singh.
During the program, farmers were informed about the complete method of making and using Beejmrit and Jeevamrit and Dhan Jeevamrit, Dashparni and Agni Astra etc. Farmers and women from villages like Tikara Kala, Basantpur, Gangapur Parikshit Kheda, Madari Kheda, Kukra etc. were present in the program.
