Chitrakoot, 04 September (HS). A case under Gangster Act has been registered in Sadar Kotwali Karvi of Chitrakoot district against five people including MLA Abbas Ansari, son of Purvanchal's mafia don (Baahubali) Mukhtar Ansari, who was the uncrowned king of the world of crime. This case has been registered on the complaint of Kotwali's in-charge inspector Upendra Singh. Gang leader Abbas Ansari has previously been imprisoned in the district jail of Chitrakoot.
Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh said that MLA Abbas Ansari is currently lodged in district jail Kasganj on administrative grounds. During his imprisonment in district jail Chitrakoot, active members of the gang Navneet Sachan son of Satyendra Sachan resident of Shankar Bazar police station Kotwali Karvi district Chitrakoot, Niyaz Ansari son of Munna Ansari resident of Revatipur Kansharaypatti police station Revatipur district Ghazipur, SP leader Faraz Khan son of Munna Khan resident of Dwarikapuri Purani Bazar police station Kotwali Karvi, Shahbaz Alam Khan son of Shahid Alam Khan resident of Ardhali Bazar police station Cantt district Varanasi, along with others, terrorize people, extort money from them and beat them up, due to which fear and terror prevails in the police station area. Against the leader and active members of this gang, FIR No. 88/23 under Section 387/506/201/120B/511/195A/34 IPC and 8 Prevention of Corruption Act, 42V/54 Prisoners Act and 7 CLA Act has been registered in Kotwali Nagar Karvi Police Station. In which later investigation charge sheet no. 159/23 was presented in the court on 10 April 2023 and challan under 159/23 was presented in the court on 22 May 2023, which is under consideration.
SP told that this gang has spread so much fear and terror among the general public that generally no one from the public can dare to give testimony or register a First Information Report against them. He told that this time the police has registered a case after completing the procedure. SP told that a case has been registered under Section 3 of UP Gangsters and Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act 1986 against MLA Abbas Ansari resident of Yusufpur police station Mohammadabad district Ghazipur who is lodged in Kasganj jail these days and his associate gang members Navneet Sachan resident of Shankar Bazar Karvi, Niaz Ansari resident of Revatipur Kansharaypatti police station Revatipur district Ghazipur, Faraz Khan resident of Dwarikapuri Purani Bazar Karvi and Shahbaz Alam Khan resident of Ardhali Bazar police station Cantt district Varanasi.
