The ICC has announced the date of the final match of the World Test Championship 2025. The final match will be played on 11-15 June at Lord's, the historic ground in England. A reserve day has been kept on 16 June if needed. This will be the third final match in the history of the World Test Championship and Lord's will host the title match for the first time.

ICC CEO issued a statement in this regard and said, “The World Test Championship Final has become one of the most exciting events in the world of cricket in a very short time. Therefore, we are very happy to announce the date of the final match in 2025. The attraction of Test cricket is increasing in this world, for which fans around the world are going crazy, the demand for tickets will be high, so I urge people to book tickets now for next year's match.
The first final was played in Southampton
The first WTC final was played in Southampton in 2021, while the 2023 title match was held at the Oval. So far, New Zealand and Australia have won the title in 2021 and 2023 respectively. Both times India had to face defeat in the final match.
For the first time, Team India lost to New Zealand and then in 2023 it lost to Australia. It is not yet decided which teams will play the 2025 final. Currently, India and Australia are at first and second place respectively in the points table. All the teams are going to play a lot of Test matches in the next few months, after which the situation will decide which teams will play for the title.
