Chetan Hemant Sapkal won silver medal in the 2nd World Deaf Shooting Championship | News India

Bhopal, September 2 (HS). On Monday, Madhya Pradesh State Sports Academy player Chetan Hemant Sapkal brought laurels to the country and the state by winning a silver medal in the 10 meter air pistol team event at the second World Deaf Shooting Championship-2024 being held in Hanover, Germany from 29 August to 8 September. State Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has praised and congratulated player Chetan Hemant Sapkal on this achievement.

The silver medal winning Indian team included Chetan Hemant Sapkal, Abhinav Deshwal and Shubham Vashisht. The gold medal of the competition was won by the Ukrainian team and the bronze medal was won by the German team.

Chetan is representing Madhya Pradesh for the first time in the World Deaf Shooting Championship-2024 in Germany. Chetan joined the Sports Academy this year. Chetan was selected in the academy through the talent selection program. Chetan is training at the State Sports Academy under the guidance of chief coach PN Prakash and assistant coach Jaivardhan.
