Lucknow, 31 August (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday gifted another Vande Bharat Express train to Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains, one of which will run between Meerut and Lucknow (Charbagh). Chief Minister Yogi has expressed happiness over this gift given by the Prime Minister to the people of UP. After participating virtually in this program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked the Prime Minister for this gift to the people of the state on the social media platform.
On his social media account, Chief Minister Yogi wrote, 'Under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the visionary of 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', the country's economic, social and cultural development journey continues unabated. Giving further impetus to this journey, the Prime Minister has today gifted 3 new Vande Bharat Express trains to the countrymen. The Prime Minister has virtually launched ultra-modern and world-class Vande Bharat Express trains between Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru, Chennai-Nagercoil. Heartfelt thanks to you Prime Minister for this gift that promotes tourism and business along with better connectivity.
It is noteworthy that with the launch of Vande Bharat Express train between Meerut and Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh has been connected with western Uttar Pradesh through high-speed connectivity. Through this, the people of the state will get the benefit of pleasant, smooth and comfortable travel. Earlier, 6 Vande Bharat Express trains were being operated in the state. These trains are operating between Delhi-Varanasi, Ranchi-Varanasi, Lucknow-Dehradun, Patna-Lucknow, Anand Vihar-Ayodhya and Gorakhpur-Prayagraj. Now Meerut-Lucknow Express train has also been added to it.
