Kanpur: Middle-aged man drowns at Nanamau Ghat of Ganga, search continues | News India


Kanpur, 31 August (HS). A middle aged man from Lucknow drowned in the river on Saturday after he suddenly went into deep water while bathing at Nanamau of Ganga in Bilhaur police station area. The police team which reached the spot after getting the information has started searching for him with the help of divers. His family has also been informed in this regard.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Rajesh Kumar Singh said that Aditya Vardhan Singh, 45 years, son of Ramesh Chandra, resident of Indira Nagar of Bangarmau police station area of ​​Lucknow district, came to Unnao by car on Saturday with his two companions Pratip Tiwari, son of Vijay, resident of Indira Nagar and Yogeshwar Mishra, son of Vinod Kumar Mishra, resident of Patasia Mohalla of Bangarmau police station area. From there, all three reached Nanamau Ghat by car to take a bath in the Ganga. While bathing, Aditya Vardhan Singh suddenly went into the water and started drowning. Seeing this, his companions tried to save him but he drowned in deep water. The police team, which arrived on the information of the people present at the time of the accident, has started searching for him by deploying divers. His family members have also been informed about the accident.
