Inspector threatens to send university students to jail, complaint to SSP | News India

Meerut, 30 August (HS). The police post in-charge threatened to send to jail the students who were protesting outside Chaudhary Charan Singh University against corruption. In protest against this, the students met the SSP on Friday and demanded the suspension of the inspector.

Student organizations have opened a front against Chaudhary Charan Singh University's Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Shukla by accusing her of corruption. Under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, students surrounded the Vice Chancellor and leveled serious allegations of corruption. After this, on Thursday, student leaders associated with Bhim Army and SP staged a sit-in at the main gate of the university. On Friday, a delegation of students met SSP Dr. Vipin Tada. They alleged that a sit-in of students was going on outside the university. At the same time, police post in-charge Satish Kumar reached the spot and started picking up the students from there.

The students said that they are protesting peacefully, so let the protest continue. Even after this the inspector did not agree and threatened to send the students to jail if they did not end the protest. The students said that the outpost in-charge should be suspended after investigating this matter. The SSP assured the students to take action after investigation. On this occasion Shan Mohammad, Havein Khan, Samar, Sanjay Kumar, Arun Singh etc. were present.
