Ghaziabad, 29 August (HS). In the 15th Finance meeting held at the Municipal Corporation headquarters on Thursday, many important development works regarding the development of the city were approved. Proposals worth 158 crore 58 lakhs were placed in this meeting chaired by Mayor Sunita Dayal. In which works worth about 19 crore 4 lakhs of Air Quality Index were approved, works worth 128 crore 15 lakhs of Solid Waste Management were placed in the meeting, along with this, works worth about 11 crore 39 lakhs of Infrastructure Fund were also approved.
Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Malik said that while discussing the important works of the city in the meeting, other major works were approved. Among them, works worth about 49 crores of Jalkal Department, works of 10 MLD Ganga Jal under Vijayanagar Zone, 6 tube wells of 30 HP, water pipeline work in ward number 49 were also approved. Thus, works worth about 49 crores of Jalkal Department were passed.
He informed that under the construction department, development works were approved in the internal wards in which works of road repair, drain and culvert were approved in ward numbers 25, 64, 46, 49, 28, 17, 15, 73, 54, 24, 12, 88, 50, 69 and other roads. Road improvement works will be done under Air Quality Index in the industrial area under Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation limits at a cost of approximately 12 crores. The proposal for a gate at a cost of 0.2 crore 83 lakhs was also approved under Vijaynagar Zone. The works of the health department were also discussed and approved. It was decided that works worth approximately 11 crores will be kept for approval after re-examination. The works of the lighting department were also discussed and works worth approximately 5 crore 83 lakhs were approved. In which instructions were also given to pay special attention to the pillars and lights. The work was also approved by taking a decision to decorate the entire city with five thousand lights by Diwali.
In the meeting, the Mayor and Municipal Commissioner directed all the departmental officers to do better work by completing the works in the interest of the city. A decision was also taken to build commercial shops in Rajnagar Extension and other areas and the proposal was approved. Thus, to speed up the development works in the interest of the city within the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation limits, 15 Finance and Infrastructure Fund and Air Quality works were approved.
Many officials including GDA Vice President Atul Vats, Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Yadav, Chief Engineer NK Chaudhary, Animal Welfare Officer and Garden Incharge Dr. Anuj Kumar were present in the meeting.
