Ghaziabad, 28 August (HS). In Migsun Society Rajnagar Extension of Nandgram police station area, a woman staged a fake acid attack drama to trap her husband, in-laws and others. Her male friend, who wanted to marry her, helped her in this. Police arrested three people including the woman and her male friend.
DCP City Rajesh Kumar said that Priyanka Sharma, resident of Migson Society Rajnagar Extension, had lodged a report that her husband and in-laws and people of the society had attacked her with acid. Police investigated the matter. Police took the help of CCTV, surveillance and local inputs installed around the incident spot. Investigation revealed that Priyanka has been having a dispute with her husband Arpit Kaushik and in-laws for the last one year, due to which Priyanka, with the aim of creating pressure, carried out the incident of flammable substance/acid attack on herself in a planned manner along with her male friend Pulkit Tyagi and former acquaintance Ankit. In which she also got the names of her husband and in-laws and her male friend Pulkit Tyagi's family members, Pulkit's wife, brother, brother-in-law and sister mentioned in the FIR. So that the way for marriage of Pulkit Tyagi and Priyanka is cleared and Priyanka's husband and his family members and Pulkit's wife and his family members can be removed from the way. Today, all the three accused involved in the incident were arrested.
Among those arrested are Priyanka, her male friend Pulkit Tyagi and Ankit. During interrogation, Priyanka Sharma told the police that I had a love marriage with Arpit Kaushik in the year 2018, but after a few days, disputes started between me and Arpit over small things. In the month of February 2024, I met Pulkit Tyagi, who was already married. We both became good friends and both had even thought of getting married, but I was not divorced from my husband Arpit Kaushik. Our counseling was going on at the women's police station Ghaziabad. On the other hand, Pulkit also did not get along with his wife. We had counseling on August 21 too, after returning from there to my society, I went out and booked an Uber motorcycle on rent and conspired with my former acquaintance driver Ankit and Pulkit. Bought acid from Rajendra's shop located at Maliwada Chowk through Ankit. After this, as per the plan made, at around 4 o'clock, Ankit stopped an Uber motorcycle on the way and came there on his motorcycle and I and Ankit together poured inflammable substance/acid on my back, so that there is not much damage. This incident should spread sensation and I registered a case against my husband Arpit Kaushik and his family members and Pulkit's wife and his family members at the police station. So that all the obstacles in my and Pulkit's marriage would end at once.
